One of the most striking features of UseaMy-SOS is its ease of use. With a single press of the SOS button, the system springs into action, causing all navigation lights on the vessel to flash the universally recognized SOS signal, continuously. The distress signal is activated regardless of whether the navigation lights are switched on or off, ensuring maximum visibility from all directions. Once the distress signal is on, you can concentrate on the cause of the distress, and you don't need to be engaged in looking for other boats in your vicinity.

In situations of distress, the ability to make other boaters aware of your situation and need for lifesaving help is absolutely critical. UseaMy-SOS enhances your visibility and significantly increases the likelihood of receiving prompt assistance. Nearby boats will quickly identify your distress, facilitating swift responses from vessels in close proximity. Furthermore, Search and Rescue units can efficiently locate and aid your vessel among others, shorten the search time and eliminate uncertainty.

In instances of a Man-overboard (MOB) situation, the SOS signal is conveyed clearly to the individual in the water, calm the person, knowing that those on board discovered the Man-overboard situation.

UseaMy-SOS is available in two distinct versions. An analog version ensures the SOS signal is conveyed through navigation lights, while a IoT version offers a more advanced level of safety. When paired with a mobile device via Bluetooth, the IoT version not only flash the SOS signal with the boats navigation lights, but also transmits the GPS-position together with vital information about the boat, contact details and the skipper's level of knowledge, to an ocean rescue center, enabling a comprehensive and efficient response.

An additional function is that our system can also be useful when the boat is moored. UseaMy is able to signal

“in-port alarms” with the vessel’s navigation lights if something is wrong onboard, even when the vessel is unattended at a big marina or on a buoy. The device is programmed to automatically flash the Nav. Lights with a unique signal, when there is too much water in the hull or the battery charge is too low.” Several insurance companies have shown great interest in this function, as it can prevent large costs.

It is with great pride that we received a Swedish patent (SV 544817) in the fall of 2022, and we have also applied in both Europe and the USA. Production takes place in Sweden and we are now looking for partners in both Europe and North America.
